Applications are invited for a post-doctoral fellowship in psychiatric and behavioral genetics at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics. The position is funded as part of a collaborative project with Boston University that involves analysis of longitudinal data from a study of the roles of genes and environment in behavioral change with age in a large sample of older twins from the Vietnam Era Twin Study (VETS). The fellow will work in a fertile, multidisciplinary training environment with opportunity to interact with leading researchers in behavioral genetics and the genetics of complex disorders. The successful candidate will have the PhD degree in a discipline providing a strong background in behavioral genetics, psychometrics, applied statistics or experience in the applications of statistical methods to behavioral and/or family data. Facility with statistical computing is essential. Ability to advise other trainees involved in the project is highly desirable.
